We’ve Launched Our Commitments to 2025

We’ve presented our third sustainability report along with the new environmental and social commitments that directly concern our products, our production models, and the communities in which we operate.

Among the commitments we want to achieve:
– By 2024 we will move to 100% tuna from responsible fisheries (from the current 70%) i.e. MSC certified or from substantial fishery improvement projects.
– We will move to 100% recyclable packaging by 2025 (from the current 87%) and use 40% recycled or biobased plastic for our packaging, gradually reducing the ratio of virgin packaging to end product.
– We will decrease greenhouse gas emissions per tonne of product by 20% over the next five years, including by switching from the current 85% to 100% of electricity from renewable sources.
– With regard to waste, our objective is to achieve ‘Zero waste’ to landfill by 2025: today, 95% of our waste is already recycled or recovered.
– By 2025, we will only produce suncreams that comply with the Hawaiian Reef Bill, a regulation introduced to protect corals from bleaching due to certain ingredients in suncreams.
– We aim to reach more than half a million underprivileged young people through education projects in five years.

Constant collaboration

For many years we have integrated social responsibility and environmental sustainability into our business. Our ambitious journey is inspired by the principles of an increasingly circular and humane economy, founded on constant collaboration with organisations such as WWF, Oxfam, Save the Children, Banco Alimentare, Valore D, and WeWorld.
